On Your Knees
I have found God's Word to be a powerful spiritual weapon and a valuable resource for knowing how to pray for others. Here are some scriptures that have been helpful to me as I have prayed for my children, their friends, my students, and others.
Salvation
That they would genuinely seek God (Duet. 4:29)
The Father would draw them to Jesus (John 6:44)
That they would know the Messiah's love and be filled with the fullness of God (Eph. 3: 16 - 19)
That they would see the light of the gospel (2 Cor. 4:4)
Spiritual Maturity
That their faith would be their own, not based on someone else's experience or belief (John 4:42)
That they would treasure God's Word and be equipped for every good work (2 Tim. 3: 16 - 17)
That they would be encouraged by being with other believers (Heb. 10:25)
That they would be led by the spirit of God (Rom. 8:14)
Ministry
That they would walk in the good works that God has prepared for them (Eph. 2:10)
That they would be generous givers (2 Cor. 9: 6 - 11)
That they would share the gospel boldly (Eph. 6: 19 - 20)
